【智利獨立日National Day of Chile】為我特製的迷你Terremoto|Mini Terremoto specially made for me

We didn’t have class during the week of the independence day of Chile, so many of my friends decided to travel. But I wanted to experience the festival, so I stayed in Santiago.

Chilean playing Japanese music with Chinese instrument

「對,他叫“Er U”」(西班牙文不發h音) “That’s a Chinese instrument!” “Yes, it’s called ‘Er U’.” (the “H” in its name “Er Hu” is not pronounced in Spanish) Continue reading Chilean playing Japanese music with Chinese instrument

Cierro de San Cristóbal

I love traveling, but I get bored easily. I always desperately flip through travel guides, without encountering anything that makes me feel motivated. One of the few things that I never get tired of is viewing the cities from above.

地震 Earthquake

Just after arriving, a Chilean asked if my parents are worried. I said they’re just worried about earthquakes. Then he laughed, “No, we don’t have earthquakes everyday!” Two days later, an earthquake struck.

Thrilling Voyage – to Shiripuno

Rivers leading to our first station Cuyabeno were deep and wide, easy to navigate.  But to the second station, Shiripuno, we had to sail through meanders. The rivers were shallow with lots of obstacles, making it a thrilling journey.

Superstition?

Animism (the belief that natural phenomena, plants, animals and even objects possess souls and power) runs strong in many hunter-gatherer societies. It is also the origin of lots of magic and wizardry. That was also true for the Amazonian tribe we visited. Continue reading “迷信?|Superstition?”

How did we survive in the Amazon?

You must be curious – where did we sleep in the jungle? What did we eat? And most importantly, how did we bath and deal with our “biological needs”? Tbh, our living environment was quite luxurious.
